MANAGING THE AMBIGUITY, UNCERTAINTY, AND STRESS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

Whatever the organizational change, it often causes stress, confusion, and frustration for employees--workers and managers alike. The changes often feel hopelessly unfair and overwhelming. Years of doing work a certain way changes with a single decision, suddenly you are supposed to "work smarter", or you are required to learn new skills or manage differently. Or, in the worst case, your job may be threatened and you need to reevaluate your entire career and lifestyle.

Some of the changes you experience you may be able to control and others you cannot, but you can control how you respond. You can manage the ambiguity, uncertainty, and stress of organizational change by managing your own attitude, your perceptions and beliefs about change, and the decisions you make.

This workshop teaches specific skills to manage stress, to respond positively to the ambiguity and uncertainty of change, and how to keep a positive attitude. At course end, you will have an overall strategy for moving forward no matter how dire or confusing the situation.

Workshops are based on The Steps of Changes program found in the book, Ready Aim Change: A Toolbook for Managing Personal Change by Bob Marsenich . Click here for Workshop Objectives.
